Say what you want, violence in video games may not make you more violent, but it does desensitise(sp) you to violence and honestly, thats a bad thing. I'm 34 and been playing video games for as long as there has been games. I have seen the changes in my attitude now that I'm old enough to look back and reflect on life. I know exactly what sort of games I'll be letting my son play (when he gets old enough) and what ones he wont.

We really ought to be emphasizing the alternative activities that video games are keeping kids from dabbling in. Off the top of my head:

* At Least It's Not Pot
* Video Games: Preventing Youthful Relationships with the Opposite Sex Since 1972
* It's Either This or Dungeons & Dragons
* Look Over There! Terrorists!

You can use those for free if you want. It's totally cool.

To me it seems like the industry is already doing all of these things.

This will not go away until the politicians find a new bone to chew on. Maybe we can help them find that bone.

OMG.. Battlebots are destroying america!

Wow, this is a great presentation/transcript. It sounds like the industry really needs the ESA to start acting on these bullet points, instead of being a second-rate BSA like it is now. The ESA should take the IDFA as its model.

Also, Dave, don't stay up so late!
