I'm a little late to comment on this, but I wanted to relate a small anecdote. Recently one of my former housemates held an event called "The Zelda Project" that about 25 people participated in. The Zelda Project, from what I can gather, was an attempt for the participants to beat all the Zelda games together (on multiple consoles, simultaneously). They started at 8pm on a Friday, and played through till Sunday. They ended up beating Zelda, Zelda: Master Quest, Zelda II, A Link to the Past, Ocarina of Time, and Wind Waker. They're planning on getting together again to finish off the rest of the extant Zelda games. That's hardcore.
