Just reading the Gamasutra article about Dwarf Fortress. It would be awesome to see this game picked up by someone who is willing to provide graphical artists and other necessary resources to increase the overall quality (while keeping the original charm) and get it onto XBLA in that form.

Hey Casey -- unfortunately, as you probably suspected, I cannot discuss XBLA-related financial matters on this blog. All I can tell you is that I've seen a lot of speculation about what our terms are and aren't, and what the terms of our publishing partners may or may not be. Much of it, at end of day, is ultimately speculation and nothing more.

Your best bet is always to reach out to the XBLA business development & account management team if you're looking for insights into how XBLA can best work with you.

Hi David,

I'm very dissapointed with the new XBLA royalty scheme. :(
I know it is a painful decision for new indie shops, but I can't even understand
why it makes sense for Microsoft.

I think a lot of us Indie guys are feeling like this:

Perhaps you can write something on your blog about it?

Take care (I enjoy your blog),
