		<description>For digital sales, they might have surveyed a statistically significant number of users across all demographics to get an idea of where they were purchasing from, though who knows for sure if NPD doesn&#039;t explain itself? I was pretty unhappy with the level of disclosure in the news story but it&#039;s so hard to find public stats to discuss that I figured it was better than nothing.  :-/

Oh, and I agree -- they certainly can&#039;t be including mobile (iPhone, etc)</description>

If the methodology they use is similar to their retail numbers, then it&#039;s gathered from participating distributors, so those 3 would have accounted for 56% of sales from among those who participated, which could have been a list of just a handful?

I can beleive it for Steam amongst core gamers, but provided that they are exclusing console download sales. Bigfish/Real seems suspect. The both do well, but if MSN/Yahoo/AOL/etc were included, surely that might throw it off. Anyhow, I&#039;ll have to go see if I can dig up the methodology</description>
